Advanced Driver Assistance Systems in 2024: Automated Parking Stumbles as Digital Radar Paves a Way Forward
In March 2024, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) released a sobering assessment of the current state of partial automation systems in passenger vehicles. Out of 14 systems tested from major automakers, 11 were rated as “poor”, with only a single system from Lexus earning an “acceptable” rating.
